Job Summary:
We are seeking a high performing dedicated, organised, and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join the Health and Safety team working out of our multiple office locations with travel across our projects UK wide.
As the Health and Safety Manager at Reds10, you will be a key member of the team, supporting the HSE Lead and promoting the improvement of our safety and environmental culture, policies, procedures, systems, and practises. As well as ensuring we are compliant with all relevant safety and environmental regulations, you will drive a proactive behavioural led safety culture and provide a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure site compliance with current legislation and Reds10 Health and Safety Standards
- Promoting and driving consistency across the construction projects, through minimum standards, competency and risk reduction.
- Enhancing workforce engagement with safety and wellbeing best practice initiatives
- Carry out risk assessments and develop Safe Systems of Work, advising managers and leaders and ensuring that they are implemented.
- Undertake effective and timely accident and incident investigation and reporting.
- Assurance of compliance in production, delivery and operational practices with relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and wellbeing (HSEW) standards, policies, procedures, processes, systems, and regulations.
- Maintaining Health and Safety records and inductions.
- Ensure that equipment is installed, maintained and used correctly and safely, identifying potential hazards and ensuring managers and leaders are aware of them and mitigating them. – Remove
- Ensuring the welfare of all staff and visitors.
- Engage and liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to share the best practices of their HSEW policies, procedures, and ways of working.
- Drive High Risks safety Reviews through each stage of the projects, removing risk through innovative solutions
- Perform regular audits with site and office teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience within a similar construction or civils environment
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate/ Diploma
- CSCS
- Pragmatic approach to application of HSEW regulations, policies,
- processes, and procedures.
- Ability to present to an audience.
